2021: Do something positive every single day.

Blooms from my Flowerbeds.
2 “Happy” places: My Kitchen & My Garden

Hello Readers!

Could you use a short and sweet pick-me-up article?

Hope so.

_______________

In late December, I created a list of positive activities. And, beginning on January 1st, I chose only 1 item from that list to complete. Period. Simple as that.

Sometimes, I manage to complete 6 positive tasks per day. But my goal is only 1. And, I mark my done deed on my desk calendar.

Remember what we learned as children?

Big change….begins with one small change.

A long journey….begins with one step forward.

And on and on. You get the message here.

Here’s what’s on my list.

I began a home yoga practice on January 1st. [If you’ve read my blog before, you know that I became obsessed in 2019 with my hour-long yoga class – 3 x a week….but I found that a 30 minute daily practice at home is my cup-of-tea.] Other positive tasks in my repertoire include: walking around the lake with my husband and chihuahua grandson [or walking on my treadmill while watching a tv show] …writing at least 1 page of rough draft content….dedicating time for prayer/devotional each am….engaging in ventures to make money….and some tasks are just for the-fun-of-it like gardening, reading, needlepointing, painting, baking, organizing.

Of course, your list of positive somp’tings may be totally different than mine. But just try it for a week. Start to complete 1 positive task TODAY.

In full disclosure, I didn’t feel different at first. I felt no change. Then suddenly, the sun was brighter. The food on my plate tasted better. And, I was smiling in my home office for no apparent reason at all.

Soooooo hoping this tiny baby step helps you (like me) finish the long journey toward December 31st….with happiness and joy.

Talk soon. I already know what I want to talk with you about during our next conversation. And you can bet on one thing….it’s going to be positive.
