A Wall of Words

My Written Thoughts - Lisa Stevens

Would you believe that I have my favorite written thoughts

on the walls of my home?

I do. Really.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As you have read many, many times in previous posts, I surround myself with people who give off good energy and a positive vibe.
a.k.a. Authentically kind and generous people
Guess What?
I surround myself with wonderful words, too.
Perhaps you’d like to try this out in your home?
Just maybe – having your favorite phrase on your office walls would promote good feelings and good thoughts throughout your day.
The first word I see when I get ready in the morning.
 ‘Serenity’ is on the wall over my vanity and next to my TV and make-up.
I strategically place this subtle message to fill my mind before going out into the world.
And, ‘Serenity’ is the last word I see – every night – as I get ready for bed.
One of my favorite written thoughts.
These words are centered over my writing desk in my office.
Every time I sit down to write a message to you, this is what I see.
(And I have a picture of my favorite bakery in the whole world – Collin Street Bakery in Corsicana, Texas – which also gives me good memories… of my last visit there!)
This phrase is hidden over a door in my tiny, downsized laundry room.
It is a whimsical message to make me smile as I sort laundry.
My favorite Bible verse.
And as I enter my Writing Room every morning… to begin the business of the day… I focus my mind on this scripture.
With life being so hectic and unpredictable, I make a conscious effort to still my frantic mind and repetitive thoughts of worry to consciously feel God’s presence during my day.
 It probably doesn’t come as a surprise that my walls have words.
The power… of the spoken word, the unspoken word (that should have been verbalized), and the written word… is immeasurable.
Words can be used as wicked weapons or wonderful wisdom.
I choose using words for goodness.
Thank you for allowing me to share a little bit of my daily world.
And just maybe, you’d like to try it out in your home or office.  You know me by now, I like inexpensive ways to decorate a home.  And it is a very quick and easy process to apply these vinyl adhesive letters to any clean surface.
Hope you like my idea of having…A Wall of Words.
So grateful that you stopped by to visit My Written Thoughts today.
