It’s been a while. Too Long – since my last post.
But thank you for reading my older posts…my analytics show which posts are read each day. So appreciate you visiting MWT site.
There’s been a lot of comings and goings this year. And, a lot of stressful situations in my life. What do I do (or should do) when life hits hard? I go to nature. I gaze at my photos of flowers and mountains. I garden. I take walks and notice the lush vegetation. I fill my kitchen and living room with fresh cut flowers from Trader Joes.
(Sorry, I’m just not a beach-person. Photos of sand and water are wonderful – but for me, it’s mountains and trees and plants that move me.)
I was one of the strange people who felt quasi-okay with staying at home in 2020. As a self-proclaimed ‘home-body’, I took full advantage of the year by reading great books, writing pieces to submit for publication, enrolling in online courses, playing with my little chihuahua, and organizing every square inch of my house.
But here’s the issue. I never imagined how turbulent and tumultuous 2021 would be. For some strange reason, I thought when the calendar flipped from December 2020 to January 2021, life would magically and automatically return to wonderful.
I was so completely wrong…. I’m embarrassed by my erroneous assumption.
Remember what Queen Elizabeth called her terrible year? She called it: ANNUS HORRIBILIS
Well, I’m not British nor royal. So, I’ll just use simple vernacular – it’s been a horrible year….so far. But guess what? I’m making changes. I want the last part of 2021 to be better.
As my son told me during his recent visit – “You always have a move to make. Moves to make things better.” Those words of wisdom really hit home. And beginning August 1st, I’m making MAJOR moves including a change of address.
I will be posting more beginning August when I’m devoting time to this blog…. along with 1-2 new blog sites which I’ll formally introduce at that time. I’m over-the-moon excited about these 2 new writing platforms!
So, if you are having a super wonderful year – I’m elated for YOU! And sincerely hope it continues throughout 2021…. or if you’re having a year similar to mine, stay tuned for some inspirational posts in August!
