Mardi Gras! Fat Tuesday!
My Mardi Gras decoration in my home office.
Have a quick second to read a short post?
Wanted to share a thought about Mardi Gras with you.
My husband and I threw a Mardi Gras party a couple of years back….and had a blast. And, I still decorate for Fat Tuesday every year. I love green + purple + gold together.
No, I’m not Roman Catholic, but after attending a Catholic school for a couple of years, I have (and will always have) a deep reverence for Catholicism.
Since high school, I have always given up (attempted – at least) a coveted something…..be it chocolate, soft drinks, candy, all refined sugar, etc….You get the picture here.
So this Lenten season – in my year of positivity – I am going to “add” somthing positive rather than delete something negative.
So what will I apply to my life beginning tomorrow, the first day of Lent?
I am committing to spend 1 hour each day exercising. I already have a daily yoga practice of 20-30 minutes, so I’m really just adding 30-40 minutes extra of weights or walking per day. I can do that.

Here’s the reason I want to share this with you.
The time frame is perfect to form a new postive habit.
Lent begins tomorrow on February 17 this year….and ends on April 4, EASTER [My favorite holiday of the year]. You can accomplish a lot during that period of time. Of course, you can give up eating macarons or chocolate truffles….but I thought you might like to add something positive each day….since this is the year of POSITIVITY.
Just a thought. You know me. If something is working well in my life, I’m going to share it with you on my website.
Take care. Thank you for reading.
