The Boomerang ~ How the Boomerang Effect…affects you!
Happy Friday!
As expected, I have a short and inspirational message to end our Week of Words.
I love writing Friday posts.
But this one is extremely important to me.
_____
The game of life is the game of boomerangs.
Our thoughts, deeds and words return to us sooner or later, with astounding accuracy.
~ Florence Shinn
From the beginning of this blog, I think you realized that this is not going to be articles about my religious beliefs or my personal faith.
It has always been my intention to have my actions in my daily life – illuminate my Christian faith.
Actions – really do speak louder than spoken words.
And all my life, I have been cautioned and warned about seeking quotations and lessons from various sources. Many legalistic folks do not believe in quotes from other religions and belief systems.
I stand firm in my Christian beliefs and biblical foundation. And, I do not believe – for one minute – that finding meaningful lessons from a variety of cultures and religions dilute my core Christian faith.
I study and live by quotes from many sources. Chinese proverbs and quotes from Michelangelo empower me to become a better person, wife, mom, friend, and neighbor.

There is one principle that is a cornerstone to my beliefs.
It is the notion that what you send out into the world, you will receive in return – somehow – in some form – at some time – in your life.
Have you ever heard these sayings as a child?
“What goes around comes around?”
“Life is circular.”
“You get, what you give.”
After living a whole lot of life, I have seen this principle come to pass over and over again. It may not occur over night or as quickly as you think it would, but the Boomerang Effect of what you throw out into the universe seems to always find its originator.
Actually, I live in amazement how this universal principle comes to fruition no matter what your nationality… your station in life… or your religion happens to be.
About five years ago, I wrote an article about this very topic. And since that article was written, I have witnessed even more examples of how this principle was fulfilled in front of my very eyes.
_____
So let’s bring all of this back to the most important person in this blog. YOU.
How does this quote affect you?
It motivates you… and me… to live a life of sincerity and integrity.
It teaches us to be kind, humble, and abundantly generous with one another.
And it gives universal value to being a good and quality person.
And lastly, the Boomerang Theory of Actions and Words gives us infinite hope that if we send out kind thoughts, good deeds, and wise words, the whole world will be a better place for us all.
Don’t you think this is a lesson deserving to be learned?
