The Power of a Daily Routine

My scratch-off poster in my home office with my little yoga soldiers

Good Sunday afternoon, Readers.

Life is busy. No?

2022 has been my busiest year!

Thank you, Returning Readers….who are patient for new content.

And Hello to new visitors! Welcome.

As I mentioned in my last post, I have incorporated 4 basic elements into my daily routine – as of January first.

Have I missed a few days here and there? Of course, I have.

But I am excited to share good things in my life – with you.

Of course, it goes without saying – absolutely check with your physician or primary care doctor before making any lifestyle changes to your diet or exercise plan.

My most comfortable chair.
My Mother-in-Law purchased a pair of these in the 1950’s – and we are delighted to still enjoy both of them with their original fabric!

After my 2 cups of necessary coffee, I return to my bedroom.

I sit in my most comfortable ‘Diana’ chair (that’s an actual 1950’s style – so I have been told). This is my Quiet Time. It seems rather counter-intuitive to quiet my brain right after waking up with coffee, but it’s a beautiful time of day for me. I read scripture and write in my prayer journal. I practice the Attitude of Gratitude during these precious moments. I pray for every member of my family.

After running errands and working in my home office – I usually take a break around 3pm to Lift Free-Weights. Very, very LIGHT free weights…..3 sets of 10 in varying positions. I have consulted experts who have instructed me on appropriate weight and number of repetition for my age and condition.

Then, I practice Yoga for 20-30 minutes.

I end my day by returning to my desk to prepare and organize the next day’s work.

And, around 4ish or 5ish, I either walk around the neighborhood or on my treadmill for a 1 Mile Walk. Nothing crazy fast or super inclined. I Just Walk.

Quiet/Prayer Time. Weights. Yoga. Walk.

Nothing fancy or magical. Just small positive changes.

Some people have incorporated Pickle Ball 2 x a week. Or reading fiction everyday for 20 minutes. There’s not OSFA….one size fits all.

So you Pick your Positives.

If something is working well in my life…..then, I’m going to share it with YOU!

This blog is about sharing positivity and productivity with my Readers.

Again, check with your healthcare professionals to determine what is the best routine for your personal situation before making any changes.
